The Sitka Fire Department serves the entire City and Borough of Sitka, and strives to meet the needs of our diverse community through effective emergency response and community involvement. The Fire Department is made up of four divisions which include a fire division, an emergency medical division,Search and rescue and a dive division. The four divisions, 9 paid staff, and approximately 85 dedicated volunteers deliver fire suppression, emergency medical services, hazardous materials response, rescue, SAR, fire prevention, and fire investigative services to the 4,710 square miles which make up the City and Borough of Sitka
