If your dog is over the age of 6 months it needs to be licensed with the City and Borough of Sitka per the Sitka General Code 8.05.020. This can be done at the Sitka Police Department at 304 Lake Street, Rm 102 or the Sitka Animal Control Shelter at 209 Jarvis Street.
The cost is $20.00 for a one year dog license or $45.00 for a 3-year dog license. Proof of rabies vaccination is required.
Cats in Sitka do not need to be licensed.
