Harrigan Centennial Hall opened on Alaska Day in 1967. Since that time, the facility has become the “Living Room of Sitka” – home to local performance groups, artists and countless other organizations. In the fall of 2012, funding from Commercial Passenger Excise Taxes made it possible to begin the planning process to renovate this great building. Throughout the last year, the City of Sitka has been working with community stakeholders, end users and architects McCool Carlson Green to develop the design for upgrades to Harrigan Centennial Hall. Community engagement remains a vital part of this project and public input is encouraged as we move forward.
